1968 AUTHENTIC UK 1ST PRESSING WITH GREY LABELS AND KJT EMBOSSED STAMP 
I HAVE CHECKED CAREFULLY THAT THIS IS A GENUINE 1ST PRESSING AND NOTE THE FOLLOWING:-
IMLP 012-1L IMLP 012-2L
THERE IS A NUMBER 1 STAMPED AT 3 0 CLOCK ON THE RUNOUT TO SIDE 1 AND 9 O CLOCK ON THE RUNOUT TO SIDE 2 WHICH I BELIEVE MEANS THIS IS A VERY EARLY COPY MANUFACTURED AT THE EMI HAYES PLANT  

  • The "Grey" Labels: The very earliest UK pressings were issued on the Immediate Record Co. Ltd. label featuring a distinctive pale lilac/pinkish-grey or matte off-white background. Later 1960s reissues shifted to a much brighter, solid pink label. 
  • The Full Volume Warning: The rim text on Side A states "For amazing results this record should be played at full volume" is the definitive text variant of the 1st pressing. 
  • The letters K, T, and J around the spindle hole are UK Purchase Tax codes.
  • "KT" was the primary code used from mid-1963 through November 1968, precisely when this album was released (May 1968).
  • The addition of the "J" (forming KTJ) popped up on select transitional pressings handled by EMI's plants right around late 1968. This confirms my copy was manufactured at the original time of release rather than during later 1970s or 1980s reissues

THE CONDITION OF THE ROUND SLEEVE IS VG+ AND THE PANELS HAVE NOT DETACHED IN ANY WAY. ORIGINAL POLY INNER SLEEVE.
THE RECORD HAS NO SCRATCHES THAT CAN BE FELT . THERE ARE LIGHT HAIRLINES UNDER A STRONG LIGHT BUT THEY DO NOT EFFECT PLAY. I AM HAPPY WITH A VG+ GRADING BUT HAVING PLAY TESTED THROUGHOUT I WOULD SAY AUDIO QUALITY IS EXCELLENT.
