One of the finest British psychedlic albums..It's an absolute gem..

The delicate sleeve on this copy is in particularly fine shape...It still has it's original circular inner bag (this is a bit tatty)..

This is a first press on the lilac label..The A side label edges says "For amazing results this record should be played at full volume"..(This was removed on later pressings)..

The back of the sleeve has the UK Patent Application No..Later copies also had a "Design application" number..

The matrix are 1L and 2L (the matrix on the label shows 1Y/2Y)...The mothers and stampers are:1H and 2GD, (a strange combination..The matrix indicate that it was cut at Decca by George Bettyes,yet the stampers indicate that it was pressed by EMI!)..Anyway,1H and 2GD indicate that it was one of the early copies off the press!..

Issued on Immediate in 1968.. IMLP 012..UK pressing in mono..

Play grade is easily EX+++..The sound quality is bright,clean and undistorted,just bursting out of the speakers!..I noted NO pops or clicks on either side..Or crackle for that matter!..

Beautiful sound quality!..

The disc plays flat on the turntable with no edge warps and there are no skips or jumps.....

Visually,the disc looks EX minus (maybe slightly less)..The A side has just a couple of tiny hairlines..Insignificant and not deep or nasty at all..The B side also has a few light hairlines/bag scuffs and there is also a slightly more visible scuff to the middle of the side(again,it's small and light,the sort of scuff caused by catching the surface with a finger nail)..There are NO nasty scratches or scuffs..The disc still has a reasonable sheen..

 The sleeve (non laminated and made by Garrod and Lofthouse) grades as EX..This is such a delicate sleeve and it soon became damaged and started falling apart..With this one,all the circles are firmly attached and have not been repaired..The colours are bright and unfaded and there is only very light wear to the edges..The back has a little age fading and there is a VERY small crease to the front (to the right of the medal thing)..On the inside,the gold coloured text has seeped through on one of the white circles..All in all,a clean and tidy sleeve..

I did 2 sets of sleeve pictures as my scanner seems to like putting everything a bit yellower than it actually is!.

There are no seam splits,rips, tears, scribble,stains,sellotape or tape marks..

The labels are undamaged with clearly legible text but there is visible spindle wear..This has obviously had regular but careful play...

All items are securely and professionally packed..Records are shipped out of their jackets to prevent seam splits..If there is an inner sleeve or a picture sleeve,then the disc will be packed in a plain white sleeve.. I try and keep shipping costs to an absolute minimum,byut Paypal don't help by taking commission on the postal costs!!
