THIS AUCTION IS FOR A VINYL RECORD (not a cd, video or dvd)
CATALOGUE no. IMLP 008 IMMEDIATE
This is the original UK LP by the SMALL FACES, Self-Tilted LP, released in June 1967 on the light lilac IMMEDIATE label IMLP 088. Matrix numbers are, side 1:- IMLP 008-1L, side 2:- IMLP 008-2L
CONDITION
VINYL ..
The vinyl is visually in very good condition, maintaining it original gleaming shine and lustre, their are only a few light marks on both sides, nothing remotely deep!, I have played both sides, and the audio grading is very good, the vinyl plays SUPERBLY, STUNNING crisp, clear clarity, with only a little light crackle, mainly in between tracks, a GREAT playing vinyl, with some STUNNING tracks.
The label's are in good condition, lovely and clean and crisp with no unwanted writing and no scuffs, the spindle hole shows a little wear, whilst around the spindal hole, both sides, their are a few light spider marks, suggesting this LP has been played a few times, although, as mentioned above, the quality and clarity of the audio is fresh, and clear.
SLEEVE ..
The original 1967 UK 1st issue matt Garrod and Lofhouse flipback cover is in good condition, lovely and clean, front and back, with only minor ageing to the back, their is no unwanted writing, and no seam splits, the spine is fully intact and readable, showing a little wear, considering it's potential major wear factor and the rarity of this cover it's in a very respectable condition. There is a little scuffing to all edges, and certain amount of ringwear, and a lessening in the "blackness" of front ..
AS YOU CAN SEE I DO NOT USE “RECORD GRADING”, MY CONSCIENCE DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO DESCRIBE SOMETHING AS “EXCELLENT” WHEN IT CLEARLY HAS WEAR!
SO, I JUST TELL IT HOW IT IS!
PLEASE NOTE THAT NO ATTEMPT WILL BE MADE TO CLEAN THE VINYL .. (experience has taught me, that people have many different and preferred methods of cleaning)
