When 80s manufactured pop producers Stock, Aitken & Waterman produced model-turned-singer Mandy Smith's debut single 'I Just Can't Wait' in 1987, they could not have foreseen the impact the record would have on the soon-to-emerge Balearic beats scene. The late, great DJ Alfredo championed the 'Cool & Breezy Jazz Version' - a loved-up, Spanish guitar-laden slab of glassy eyed house-not-house take by PWL engineer Phil Harding - at Amnesia, and the rest is history. This Balearic London naturally features that must-have take on side B, alongside a fresh rework by rising star Holmes Price. His version adds energy and impetus, via some chunkier and more expressively house-focused beats, while retaining key elements from the 1987 versions - think hands-aloft pianos, Smith's vocals, TB-303 bass and the various guitar solos.
