 Rare LP with original cover only found on the first pressing.

Record is in excellent, very clean condition with only minor wear if any. Cover has general shelf wear with no major damage or flaws. Sadly, it seems the original insert is missing!

SNFU is a Canadian punk rock band formed in 1981 in Edmonton, Alberta and later relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia. They have released nine full-length albums and are cited as a formative influence on the skate punk sub-genre, as well as the punk rock scene at large.

The band is fronted by the sardonic singer, lyricist and artist Ken Chinn (known as Mr. Chi Pig), currently their only original member. They initially built their melodic hardcore punk sound around dual guitar work from twin brothers Brent and Marc Belke before their respective departures in 1998 and 2005. SNFU is presently completed by guitarist Ken Fleming, drummer Jon Card and bassist Denis Nowoselski.

Chinn and the Belke brothers met as teenagers in Edmonton through the skateboarding subculture in the late 1970s.  In 1981, their shared interest in the burgeoning punk rock movement led them to form a band called Live Sex Show, with drummer Ed Doebeck and bassist Phil Larson.  Live Sex Show broke up later that year, and Chinn and the Belkes began the new group Society's No F*cking Use. Mostly referred to via the acronym SNFU, the new band's initial lineup was completed by bassist Warren Bidlock and drummer Evan C. Jones.

With Jimmy Schmitz replacing Bidlock in 1982, they quickly built an audience throughout North America on the strength of their aggressive live set, publicity in Thrasher Magazine and their inclusion on BYO Records' Something to Believe In compilation LP. Their influential first album, ...And No One Else Wanted To Play, was recorded in 1984 and released on BYO Records. They have maintained the quirk of releasing albums with seven word-long titles throughout the rest of their career.


...And No One Else Wanted To Play was the first full-length album from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada's punk band SNFU. It was released on BYO Records in 1984. The album was engineered by David Ferguson, produced by BYO and SNFU and recorded at Track Record, Hollywood, California, USA.?In February 2000, it ranked 56th on Chart Magazine's Top 100 Greatest Canadian Albums of All Time.

The first small release of the 12" LP featured a copyrighted image by Diane Arbus entitled  Child with Toy Hand Grenade in Central Park, NYC. (1962). A cassette release also included a cover of the Warren Zevon song "Poor Pitiful Me", which was also included on some later vinyl pressings.

On a later release, the band release another version of the cover in an effort to avoid any potential lawsuit, having an artist draw the boy with the hand grenade in place of the photo. This effort was much too close to the original for comfort, and at least two other versions were created; one featuring a family looking at their rifles, and a final version with a Christmas Massacre
