IN NEAR MINT CONDITION, this is the ultra-rare third pressing (only 1000 made!) of the legendary Washington D.C. straight edge band S.O.A. (State of Alert) "No Policy" 7" (COMPLETE WITH LYRIC SHEET!) released in 1981 on Ian MacKaye's (Minor Threat) Dischord Records. It was Dischord Records's second release (after the Teen Idles "Minor Disturbance" EP) S.O.A. is well known for featuring future Black Flag and Rollins Band frontman Henry Rollins (by then known by his real name Henry Garfield) on vocals, as well as Iron Cross' former bass player Wendel Blow. Simon Jacobsen (Drums) and Michael Hampton (Guitar) completed the band. This 7" had three pressings, each one of 1 000 records each. The first one was on green vinyl and the sleeve featured a picture of the band where Henry has NO Black Flag bars on his right arm. Also, the labels on the record didn't mention the band's name, only song titles and the record label info. The second pressing is on black vinyl, Henry still has NO Black Flag bars on his arm on the picture, the words "R.I.P. " DON’T appear on the back of the picture sleeve and there's still no mention of the band's name on the record labels. The third pressing (the one the you're looking at. SEE PICTURE!) is the same as the second, except there’s Black Flag bars on Henry’s arm, the name of the band is written on the Record labels and " S.O.A. (R.I.P.) information:" is written on the back of the sleeve instead of "S.O.A. Information" on the first two pressings. This true artifact of hardcore history was recorded at Inner Ear Studios from December 1980 to February 1981, Engineered by Don Zientara and Produced by Skint Kröfts (Skip Groff). Gonna Have to Fight Vinyl, sleeve and lyric sheet in NM condition with only a very small portion of the top left corner of lyric sheet beeing a little bit damaged (SEE PICTURE!) but nothing serious, all the lyrics are there.
