Leonid Vitalyevich Sobinov (Russian: ??????? ??????????? ????????, June 7 [OS May 26] 1872, Yaroslavil – October 14, 1934, Riga) was an acclaimed Imperial Russian and Soviet-era opera singer, and aPeople's artist of the RSFSR (bestowed on him in 1923). His voice can best be described as that of a lyric tenor and he was extremely popular with both Tsarist and post-1917, Russian Revolutionary audiences.
