SOCIAL DISTORTION MOMMYS LITTLE MONSTER 13th STORY RECORDS LP W/INSERT ORIGINAL RARE! In at least VG CONDITION! Most would grade this VG+ but I like to be a bit conservative so you will be pleased. No scratches on vinyl, just some light superficial surface marks from being taken out of Sleeve. The labels are clean, no writing on labels or record, no stickers, all original and complete with original Lyric Insert! This is the First LP for Social Distortion, released on 13th Story Records, the indie label for the young upcoming Orange County LA Punk foursome! This was the Album that blew up for them, and got the world to start listening to this Rowdy bunch of young punks from Los Angeles! This is the record that put their name in mouths everywhere and this is still the best Social D vinyl piece and is essential fir any social D collector or fan. This is the piece to start a record collection or complete one. Nice copy here from the original press with lyric insert.

Record is in VG to VG+ condition. I am not a record grader but it isn't bad for almost 40 years of age. Most graders would probably rate this VG+ ( VG+++ on Sleeve and VG++ on record is what the listed condition was when I bought it from a reputable seller yrs ago, and I played it once and stored it away very well so it hasn't aged) I would be conservative and say all around it is VG though Sleeve looks at least VG+ and record too I think. Again I'm not a grader though I have collected continuously for 25 years and I have a lot of vinyl. This is a rare gem and it is a true PUNK ROCK and ROCKABILLY CLASSIC! Mike Ness and THE ORIGINAL SOCIAL D LINEUP! It is a must have for the Punk collector. This is an LA Punk grassroots masterpiece. Ness is a legend in the music world. This is a piece of Punk History! Get this LP while you can. I think they made maybe 10,000 of these. Maybe less I'm not sure, but it isn't many. And not many in nice condition like this one. Buy it or make an offer you won't be disappointed.

This Social Distortion LP is an ORIGINAL PRESSING WITH THE LYRICS INSERT. There were 2 versions of early press: one with Gatefold Sleeve and this one with Lyrics Insert. I don't know which is rarer but they came out around the same time. I have heard that the GF was first but I have also heard it the other way. Cover says 13th Story Records and also has an SASE Address to get in contact with the band. 13th Story Records was the label that Mike Ness was cashing checks he received and wasn't reporting to have received to use to party; back in his youth when he was really wild! Old LA punk zines used to talk about Ness and his infamous partying in the early days especially. I believe he served some time for taking from 13th Story Records. It was the bands label and this was the first release on the label catalog SD1301

I am not a grading expert it is in very good condition overall. LP has no major scratches just some very light superficial surface scratches. It is in very nice shape. The cover isn't bad either it has a few small wrinkles that you have to hold in the light to really see and a couple of dings and small paper blemishes. The lyric insert is very nice no bends or creases or holes. No writing anywhere on anything at all. Cover is very nice and would look great framed. The record covers spine is completely legible and has no damage it is clean and unbroken which is rare for a cover like this. They are often split. The record labels are clean and beautiful. Many Records with this type of cover have separation and paper flaked off, but not really this one, it is quite nice I think. Again judge by the pictures. It is really quite appealing I think for a Punk LP that is almost 40 years old! I didn't play grade it but I don't foresee any issues the last time I played it it was fine. And should play nice on a decent player. I think if you buy this you will like it. I don't except returns though unless the record is not what I stated it to be. I have a very strong 100% track record on eBay and I know what I'm doing. I don't play games and I ship safely and securely. I like to do good honest business. This original Punk LP makes a great gift for a fan! And since this was an independent label press there were only a handful made. Really Rare and in really good shape for a 40 year old punk gem. If you pass this up, you may regret it!
