Here’s a 3-item SOCIAL UnREST collector's lot!

1) FIRST PRESSING of “Making Room For Youth” 45 RPM 7” EP vinyl record

2) original SOCIAL UnREST handwritten set list on the back of a FLIPPER and the LEWD flyer

3) original SOCIAL UNREST 1982 flyer

Here’s the details on each:
1) This is the band’s first 45, AND from the first pressing as well.* Has “Making Room for Youth,” “Join the People Who Joined the Army,” and “Rush Hour.” Includes all original papers and has been stored in protective sleeve. Cover is orange/fluorescent red PS with single word (Infrared) candy apple red labels. Paper inside the foldover is white and has lyrics. It was produced by East Bay Ray of the Dead Kennedys and mastered by Geza X.

Sleeve has price tag for $1.99 on front. Picture 6 is a scan of the cover, but the cover is deep red and not the pink that it looks like in that scan. I have not graded records professionally, but can tell you I certainly did play this record -- that was the point, after all--but there are no big scratches or other obvious defects. Praise be! Social Unrest's Mark Monti has finally provided the definitive pressing info on this EP, and it turns out BMF's hunches were pretty much on the money. Here's the score:
1st press: Orange/fluorescent red PS with single word (Infrared) candy apple red labels. 1000 copies.
2nd press: Blue PS with single word (Infrared) candy apple red labels. 1000 copies.
3rd press: Yellow PS with two word (Infra Red) brownish red labels. 500 copies.
4th press: White PS with two word (Infra Red) brownish red labels. 500 copies.

2) This original handwritten set list is right from the stage floor of the legendary Mabuhay Gardens “Fab Mab” Nightclub in San Francisco. The photos describe the condition accurately. The paper is 8.5 x11 inches and has light natural age discoloration and has straight crease marks. There is duct tape at the top.

On the back of the set list I’d penciled, “SOCIAL UNREST 9/22 Mab” The paper is a flyer for a show with FLIPPER and the LEWD at the Mabuhay Gardens in San Francisco. Photo four shows the back of the set list.

3) Original SOCIAL UNREST flyer with Battalion of Saints, Karnage, Intensified Chaos and Minority at the On Broadway, July 28. And since the flyer authors were kind enough to write “Wednesday,” we can now deduce that the year was 1982. The flyer is 5.5” x 8/5” and shows only light aging. There are no tears, marks, holes or tape marks.

This is not style. This is not fashion. This is Punk....... On the borderline of 1978/1979 spawned Social UnRest. Our suburban origins are something we've never been ashamed of, we wanted to bring Punk from the city streets into the burbs, and that's what we did. The original line-up formed as Doug Logic (guitar), John Vollick (bass), Danny "Radio Shack" Norwood (guitar), Mark "Manslaughter" Monti(drums) and Creetin K-oS (a.k.a. Jason) on vocals. By early 1980, we were playing S.F. shows, as well as out of town.. . April 1981 found Social UnRest touring the length of the West Coast with Britain?s U.K. Decay. The tour came about after a handful of San Francisco area gigs. Then Social UnRest hit the road with Dead Kennedys and U.K. Decay. We recorded our debut 7" produced by Dead Kennedys guitarist East Bay Ray, and pressed up 500 copies of "Making Room For Youth" in the autumn 1981, backed up by "Join The People Who Joined The Army" and "Rush Hour" on the flip. This debut showcased a sharp unit with great promise, and an intense approach for it's time with catchy and memorable songs. Creetin's faux-Anglicised snarl and the fuzzy chopping guitars where influenced by the bands of the day. It's a real feeling of satisfaction to know that original $2.00 price of this 7" has accrued value beyond it’s four minute length over the years.
