SODBUSTERS - (georgia stock music 74-01; stereo' 1974; *Canadian issue/pressing). Great private folk rock psych LP with a rural feel. From Vancouver, BC, produced and distributed by the band. This is essentially the first Huckle LP. Players: Huckle- guitars, mandolin; Ken Grossman- piano; Jodi Marquis- violin; Paul Newman- bass; Ray Newman- sax; Dan Harvey Pedwick- guitars, harmonica; John Presland- banjo; Wendi Sinclair- vocals; Bob Walshaw- drums. Songs about "60's" subjects i.e. politics, drugs, etc. Cuts: "Sodbusters, Black creek, Fiddle player, Dodger rag, I'm not sayin', She laughed, To love somebody, The last round, Louisiana woman Mississippi man, One more time, Livin' in a hideout". *Vinyl is VG+, shiny bright, light surface marks, light surface noise.
