ROCK GENERATION VOL.7 & 8 LP What we have here are the original BYG pressings of the first Soft Machine demos from april 1967. They have been rereleased many times in different formats but here is the original pressing, in the form of 2 split albums with other bands. These monumental demos were released in 1972 in France by Giorgio Gomelsky on two split albums:
ROCK GENERATION VOL.7 GARY FARR & THE T-BONES + SOFT MACHINE BYG RECORDS 529.707 (FRANCE 1972) Extremely rare pressing of demos of the 'first' Soft Machine recordings from 1967 with Robert Wyatt, Kevin Ayers, Daevid Allen and Mike Ratledge.
This LP is part of the "Rock Generation" series pressed on the mighty BYG label in 1972. Side 1 contains four songs by The T-Bones; side 2 four demos from the original Soft Machine line-up recorded in 1967, tracks: That's how much I need you now, Save Yourself, I Should've Known, Jet-Propelled Photograph.

This album contains music by the Soft Machine, Gary Farr & The T-Bones, the Mark Leeman 5, Deep Feeling, The Ingoes and Dyon Parker. Soft Machine tracks: when I don't want you, memories, you don't remember, she's gone, I'd rather be with you.
