Recorded April–May 1970 at IBC, London .
"Facelift" is the most radical track. This version was recorded live at the Fairfield Halls, Croydon, 4 January 1970, with a brief section from the Mothers Club, Birmingham, 11 January. A large part of the finished track is live but parts involve tape collage and speeding up, slowing down, looping and backwards playing of tapes, with one instance where two different treatments of the same basic riff (one from the live concert, the other, at half speed) are heard simultaneously. At the end the main theme is heard backwards. YOU MUST HEAR THIS!
