RARE UK first pressing of Soft Machine`s double album "Third", released on CBS Records (June 1970).
Though a bit patchy in places, "Third" features Robert Wyatt`s masterpiece "The Moon In June". Nonetheless, this could not keep the rest of the band from firing Wyatt. The rest, as they say, is history...
GRADING:
EX++ to MINT- COVER. Slight discolouration of the spine (sunlight!) and the merest beginnings of some ring wear. Please see photos for details.
MINT(-) RECORDS that look absolutely unplayed! Original dark orange CBS labels in pristine condition.
The matrix stamps read as: "A 1"/"B 1"/"C 2" and "D 2", respectively, showing this to be a very early UK pressing, circa 1971.
PLEASE NOTE: Over the next few months, we will regularly be offering a number of rarities, mainly progressive and avantgarde records: A very discerning, long-time collector friend left us his treasure chest! Not only are many of these lps extremely rare, they are almost all in MINT(-) condition - both inside and out.
As we slowly inch closer to springtime, we will be spreading the goodies out, in no special order. Suffice to say that the best is still to come!
