Title: For Those Alone
Details: - This is part of my Personal Private Press Folk/Psych/Prog Collection which I have spent many years acquiring - all are Originals!! No reissues/Replicas etc, I acquired them many years ago and only purchased the genuine copies, most of them have a very limited pressing (being private pressings) and range from 99 copies to just a few hundred, You will not see some of these come up for sale again for a very long time, if at all!!! - On offer here is the very obscure rare UK Album by Soft Shoe called "For Those Alone" with very rare insert - Run out/Matrix side 1 AARD-1-A/side 2 AARD-1-B
Rarity:- Extremely!! featured in “2001 Hans Pokora Record Collectors Dreams Book”
Music: ..an original and engrossing example of Progressive Folk with an occasional psychedelic flavour most pronounced on the two stand out tracks. "The Sky is Crying" is a thrilling concoction that opens to the sound of a raging storm before some powerful fuzz guitar carries a stunning melody with angst ridden lyrics. The title song "For Those Alone" utilises similarly evocative sound effects to create a suitable backdrop for another desolate ballad within a psychedelic framework again fashioned by exemplary guitarwork. (taken from Record Collector Magazine UK Review)
Incredibly rare folk-prog record from the United Kingdom. Mellow sounds, nice vocals and good arrangements, it's a pity that this record had only a very limited private release. Saying that, we can easily state that this title ranges among the best obscure electric folk-prog records coming from the UK in those years. Even the artwork can easily concur as one of the most beautiful of this genre." Recorded 1977-78. (Review taken from Discogs website)

Gradings: I use the standard UK gradings as set out in Record Collector Magazine below:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Near Mint, EX+, VG+ etc are acceptable additions to help `fine tune` descriptions for the buyer
