Soft Verdict - For Amusement Only - Les Disques Du Crépuscule - TWI 049 - Belgium - 1982
Soft Verdict was a group set up by composer and musician Wim Mertens who studied social & political science et the University of Leuven & musicology at Ghent University. He became a producer at the then BRT(Belgian Radio & Television),he produced concerts by Philip Glass,Steve Reich,Terry Riley or Meredith Monk and others and hosted a program called : Funky Town Together with Gust De Meyer,with whom he recorded the experimental album : For Amusement Only!! He is also well known for this opus : Struggle For Pleasure and for this piece : Maximizing the Audience which was composed for Jan Fabre's play The Power of Theatrical Madness.. Merten's style while continually evolving during the course of his prolific output,touches veins of minimalist,ambient & avant garde...
Vinyl in great shape,no hairlines,probably plays a very few times,maybe a very rare & superficial light noisy(??) here & there.Sound is excellent & plays nice all the times!!! Cover have a very small damage on a corners,little folds,wears or stains front/back du a storage.Small tears on opening edge.
