This 1962 recording captures and depicts the strong but still raw quality of this Grammy Award winning singer’s voice and singing style. He draws upon his roots in gospel, blues and soul in this debut LP on the Apollo label.

CONDITION Visually, the vinyl is VG+ with some handling marks.
Play graded: Side A played flawlessly with strong fidelity and virtually no
audio interference. Side B played with strong fidelity however, some audio
interference can be detected on some tracks due to some very light
scratches. Play graded with treble and graphic equalizer turned up to the
max to detect the faintest noise.
The cover is VG+ with minor shelf wear. There is some soiling present on
the back cover (see picture).
