Description
A Wonderful Vintage 1940 Original 78 rpm 10" Four (4) Record Album by the world-famous Spirituals Singer, Marian Anderson. She was a soloist with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra in 1925 - in 1935 at Salzburg, Toscanini said "A voice like hers comes once in a hundred years" - she was seen as a consistent Fait Accompli with her three-octave encompassing an amazing repertoire. She is accompanied by William Primrose, violist and Franz Rupp, at the piano.
It was released by Victor Red Seal Records
We played all four records, and her voice is incredible and so sensitive in her performance.
These Incredible Records are in Excellent Condition, especially when you consider their age. Side 5 does have a few clicks near the beginning from something being on the record (as you can see towards the bottom of record in the image of side 5), I cleaned it lightly with my finger but don't have a record cleaner and it still plays through the several clicks without any real disruption. We truly enjoyed listening to all 4 records. The sleeves are in Very Good Plus condition and the Albums hard cover is in Very Good Condition with its wear being minimal for its age.
Thanks for viewing this listing and have a wonderful day and be good to one another!
