Of all the Crystal Clear Direct-Cut records ever made, almost every audiophile I know agrees: The two volumes called SONIC FIREWORKS are their faves. And for good reason.
This volume 2 has music on it that can just about scare any pet in the house, and rock the foundation if so called upon. Selections include compositions by Widor, Dupre, Mouret, Couperin, and Stanley. But, if you need a place to start, just place the stylus on cut 1, side 1, for a version of Strauss' "Fanfare" from ALSO SPRACH. (Pretty darn tasty, let me tell ya.)
One of the best demo discs of organ, brass and percussion ever made.
Jacket is without major fault; record inside still shines brightly and should play near mint.
(WARNING: This record will re-arrange your listening room furniture, so please watch your volume, initially. A dear audiophile friend calls this album "an audio wrecking ball.")
