HERE WE HAVE AN EXCELLENT UK BLAST FIRST (BFFP 20) FIRST PRESSING (June 1987) OF SONIC YOUTH'S TREMENDOUS, "Sister" LP - ONE OF THEIR FINEST ALBUMS

THE ALBUM HAS THE ORIGINAL UK FIRST PRESS FOUR MATRIX SET INCLUDING THE A/B AND ORIGINAL "MASTERDISK" ETCHING (if you require the full matrix set please drop me a line)
AND IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUE SMOOTH, GLOSSY SLEEVE (WITH THE DISNEY PICTURE, WITHDRAWN FOR LEGAL REASONS FROM THE US RELEASE)

EVOL was a major leap forward for Sonic Youth, but Sister is a masterpiece, demonstrating the group's rapidly evolving musicality.
More than ever before, Sonic Youth's songs sound like actual songs, and their collages of noise, distortion, and alternate tunings are now used to provide texture and depth to the music, which is original, complex, and rewarding.
Not only is there the full-throttle roar of "Tuff Gnarl," but there are shimmering layers of ambient harmonics and dissonance that are as haunting and challenging as any of their barrages of feedback. Furthermore, Sister has a warm sound, which lures the listeners into music that's defiantly arty but never indulgent.
It's one of the singular art rock records of the '80s, surpassed only by Sonic Youth's next album, Daydream Nation.

LABELS: CLEAN and BRIGHT with NO wear, NO writing and only light spindle traces
VINYL Visual: The surfaces have their original DEEP, GLOSSY SHEEN. There are some superficial light marks but these have NO major audio consequence - the playback is SUPERB throughout
VINYL Audio: OUTSTANDING audio delivery - CRYSTAL CLEAR, VERY SHARP and VERY STRONG. There are NO scratches, NO jumps, NO sticks, NO loud clicks or pops and barely any surface noise (really, hardly any). The album plays BEAUTIFULLY THROUGHOUT with SUPERB clarity, NO distortion and groove-wear. Must be critically graded EXCELLENT+ for audio and NOT over-graded in ANY way as I use STRICT RECORD COLLECTOR grading standards (please refer to my feedback and 'about me' page) - FANTASTIC LP AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
SLEEVE: The 1st issue sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition. CLEAN and UNMARKED. All edges are SHARP and ALL text on the spine is CLEAR and BOLD with just a couple of light creases.
INNER SLEEVE: Again, CLEAN and FRESH with no marks or splits.This is the original GOLD inner sleeve. The LP is now housed - and will be posted in - a new inner to avoid any 'knifing' damage to the original during transit. EXCELLENT+
