The YARDBIRDS were blues enthusiasts playing in London from 1963, and when Giorgio Gomelski managed them, he and Horst Lippmann secured a prestigious gig backing the American legendary bluesman Sonny Boy Williamson.
He was a surly but certainly seasoned harp playing vocalist, and not particularly easy to play behind!
Eric Clapton had taken over on guitar, from young Sanderson 'Top' Topham, and he was soon causing a stir with blues audiences, and he took on the tough assignment here with panache!
Really, Rice Miller aka SONNY BOY (the 2nd) was fortunate to get the services of The Yardbirds and The Animals backing him, but along with a little arrogance came his capabilities on mouth harp and distinctive blues vocals.
This is an excellent player.

The VINYL grades NEAR MINT, plays and sounds great!
