Description
Solid cuts as usual on Sonny Boy's Trumpet sides. 'Pontiac' rocks along uptempo while 'Christmas' is mid tempo. Lots of finger snapping adding to the momentum and demonstrating Sonny Boy's involvement in the whole process. Label owner Lillian McMurry captured some real sparkle on these sessions possibly because all the musicians respected and trusted her as an honest person to work with. Jackson, MS. 1951
