Scarce vintage jazz LP featuring SONNY CLARK on the BLUE NOTE label, from 1957.  Title is “SONNY’S CRIB.”  Catalog number is BLP 1576, monaural pressing.  

Record is thick vinyl, with deep groove.  Label address is "BLUE NOTE RECORDS * 47 WEST 63rd * NEW YORK 23" on both sides.  Matrix number is hand-etched, “RVG” is machine stamped in trailoff vinyl, with "ear" symbol on both sides. 

Jacket has "For Complete Catalog Write to BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 47 West 63rd St., New York 23" on reverse at bottom in small print. 

Personnel consist of the following:  DONALD BYRD – trumpet; CURTIS FULLER – trombone; JOHN COLTRANE – tenor sax; SONNY CLARK – piano; PAUL CHAMBERS – bass; and ART TAYLOR – drums.

Jacket:  nice VG+.  Overall very presentable with a couple minor flaws.  Has some very minor surface wear on reverse, a heavy wear spot at top left corner tip, very minor traces of wear showing on front white portions.  Overall a very fine jacket that I believe will be acceptable to most if not all collectors. 

Vinyl:  nice VG+ to VG++.   This album plays beautifully on all tracks, with brilliant fidelity.  It appears to have been played a small number of times.  The vinyl does show a few surface scuffs and minor slide lines, but none are deep or produce any noise on the album.  I have listened to the album and found it to be a thoroughly enjoyable listening experience.  Would make a great playing copy.
