For auction is SONNY ROLLINS "And The Big Brass" MetroJazz E 1002, MONO, DG, 1958.
SOUND: NM-
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. The playback is clean and clear. I heard a couple tiny "tics" in the segue between B2-B3. That's it. A terrific listen!
VINYL: VG+ or better
Visually, the vinyl is very nice. It's only graded VG+ because there is one hairline mark of no significance, and another tiny mark that I can't feel. Otherwise, the vinyl is fairly glossy and clean, with only a few smudges. On Red MetroJazz labels with deep grooves. Labels are in very nice, clean condition. Spindle hole has minimal wear.
COVER: VG+ or better
The cover is terrific. Edges and spine are solid with virtually no wear. The corners are nice, with just a touch of wear. Both front and back are clean and unmarked. A slight touch of ring-wear on the front, none on the back, with some minimal aging.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
You won't be disappointed with this record. No reserve, bidding starts at $25.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
