SONNY ROLLINS QUINTET: Hot-Cool-Moderne, US original 1957 Jazztone J1243 LP, MONO. With the Thad Jones Ensemble and the Zoot Sims Quintet.
You're looking at one of the very rarest american Sonny Rollins LP. It might very well be THE rarest. The US version of this Jazztone LP, not to be confused with the not-so rare thin sleeved european edition that features different colours in the cover design. This is the US original! You simply never see this for sale!!! 2 copies has been recorded in ebay auctions, both sold many years ago. One went for 400 USD in 2004, one for 610 USD, a few years later (now removed from popsike.com, now only visible at jazzcollector.com's price guide). I have not seen this LP for sale in many many years. Here's your chance! See back cover close up photo for the line up on this LP. This LP features unique recordings from all-time great line-ups. DISC is VG+, a few light hairlines only, plays great, near EXCELLENT al l the way with clean sound.
COVER is VG(+), looks good from back and front, but has partial upper and lower seam splits, which could be neatly repaired, as the cover is not otherwise much worn. Please look at the pics.

To get shipping quote for a single LP, use shipping calculator. For auctions ending over 80 GBP, wait for invoice. For 80+ GBP orders an additional 8 GBP is charged for cover the 75 DKK registration fee (tracking number).
You will save shipping on Multiple items, of course. Wait for invoice and you'll see the combined shipping price. You will NEVER pay more than my actual cost, often you'll pay 10-15% less than is costs me.
Packing
Special german-made cruciform-mailers designed for multiple LPs are used even for single LP shipments. The boxes are oversized and provide extra corner protection as well as great stiffness to package. Addtional protection may also be used when nessesary, such as stiffeners, bubble-wrap, extra corner-protection. I do not charge for packing materials.
Gradings
MINT(-) is as close to new as a used LP or cover can get, unplayed or played 2-3 times at most.
MINT- is superb, almost like new. No marks, scratches, clicks, noise, or anything else, aside from possibly a barely visible and inaudible hairlines.
EX or EXCELLENT is also VERY nice, 2-3 light marks perhaps, no disturbing noise, great sound quality.
VG+, a nice player, but probably has some visual impairments, and some clicks or light noise in places; always see the individual description.
VG, rarely put of for sale, an ok copy, but always see the individual description for the actual faults.
Playgrading
I play-grade parts of or whole LPs to determine the actual sound-quality of the item. Playgrading is done on a quality system with an Linn LP12 as the main source.
