Up for bids is a great original Self-Titled mono Jazz LP by the great Sonny Rollins.
LABEL: Blue Note BLP 1542
ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSING WITH SCRIPT "767 Lexington Ave, NYC" ON BOTH LABELS!
Both labels do NOT have the "?" symbol!
DEEP GROOVE
Matrix (or trail-off) numbers have an etched "RVG" followed by an etched "BN-LP-1542-A." then ending with the Plastylite "EAR" for Side 1, and an etched "RVG" followed by an etched "BN-LP-1542-B." then ending with the Plastylite "EAR" for Side 2.
Front of cover is slightly glossy.                See descriptions below.
NOTE:  The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.
Cover is in Fair condition. 
NOTE: When I got this, the previous owner stupidly made it into a top loader (grrrr)! I managed to successfully re-construct this cover back to it's original form. But, sadly the damage was done.  So .... front and back of cover have some wear. Front has some tearing. Back has some staining. Top was completely split, but was successfully recently repaired with tape. At one point, all other sides were completely split but repaired with tape a long time ago (thus the old browned-up type around the cover). Front and back by opening has visible straight tears from where the moron taped it up.
Now surprisingly, I would rate the record’s condition as a STRONG VG. Has a few marks and some scratches. None of them skip on my player though. Side 2 has some thick marks but they are not really audible. Plenty of fidelity left in this baby! Labels look pretty nice though Side 1's looks slightly streaked. Overall, this record still sounds really nice my player!
