Sonny Rollins "Way Out West" (Contemporary Records, C3530, Mono, 1957)
A copy of the Rollins original mono LP on Contemporary: "Way Out West". 6 cuts w/ Ray Brown and Shelly Manne. 1957 original. Cover photograph by famed jazz photographer William Claxton. Grooved label in orange and black. Dead wax: LKL 12 127 D3; LKL 12 128 D4. Grade: Ex/Ex - Bright sleeve with very light, cosmetic wear at the corners, strong edges/seams, a very legible label edge, very clean liner notes, etc. Inner sleeve has the artist and record title penned to the upper corner. Labels are clean with light wear to both, a line of wax visible beneath the B side groove. Both sides of the record are pretty darn clean - some paper scuff but no scratches visible. Playback very sound with patches of light and very tolerable static and a handful of scattered light ticks and clicks. Very nice! SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY, PLEASE!
