Description
I purchased this record in the early 60s and it has always been one of my favourites. I have reluctantly decided to sell it so someone else can enjoy it and further enhance its value. I believe it to be a first pressing it has the flip-over tabs on the rear cover and the run offs are VMGT 1324-1B, VMGT 1325-1B. The record looks good with a nice black shiny surface, it runs perfectly flat with no spindle marks or blemishes on the labels. It is not in excellent condition as it has a mark at the end of the first track on side one and there are a couple of light scratches on side two. However, these are not noticeable on playback on my Rega P6/ania set-up. There is just the occasional very low surface noise on what is generally a lovely quiet playback. The bass line through the record is excellent and I think it would sound wonderful if played with a mono cartridge. There are no skips or jumps on the record and it is a joy to listen to due I think to the quality of the vinyl of that era. I have tried to give an accurate picture of the record as it is collectable and not cheap but it is rare. I would conservatively rate it as VG on the Goldmine Standard. The cover is VG with no significant damage or splits. It has a very light ring wear front and back and a feint original price top LH corner of 27/6 [shillings] !! It is complete with the original inner. This record has been cleaned using the Analogue Studio machine. I will post this securely by Royal Mail Tracked. Thank you for looking.
