Description
For auction is SONNY STITT's "Only the Blues" Verve MG V-8250 MONO, 1958. With Roy Eldridge and Oscar Peterson, among others.
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides partially. The music sounded excellent, very clean and noise-free, with the faintest clicks in a couple places. They don't detract from the music or listenability of the record. Very nice, very enjoyable listen!
Visually, the vinyl is VG+, with no flaws to report, other than a few smudges on either side with no playback effect. This record is deep-grooved on both sides.
The sleeve is VG+ or better, with no flaws of note. It's clean, with solid seams and corners all around.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics. A great record, in great condition. No reserve, bidding starts at $10.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
