- Vinyl: NM- play grade *record plays superb with vinyl having nice shiny luster, and only some faint superficial fine-line marks that did not present any noise issues.

- Info: This rare and funky LP finds Sonny Stitt at the later part of his career, laying down some great tracks with his soulful saxophone and also features a youthful Eddie Russ on the Fender Rhodes electric piano. Joining Russ is his musician pals "The Mixed Bag" (Ron Brooks, Danny Spencer, Jerry Glassel, Larry Nozero, and Calvin Welch), who all contribute to groovy full arrangements adding horns, guitar, and percussion on many of the tracks. Larry Nozero's flute work on the title track is outstanding, as well as the funky bass line, congas, keyboard and guitar. "Tornado" was actually written and arranged by Eddie Russ, and when Sonny comes in with his sax solo, it makes for one of the better soul-funk jams you'll ever hear. Lots of other great tracks on the album, notably "Escanaba" and "By My Side", both also written and arranged by Eddie Russ. Good stuff!

International Shipping:
