1967 UK release on Coxsone Records (CSL 8001)
Right. This beauty of a record doesn't come up for sale too often. It's been sitting in my collection for a few years but I feel now is the right time to let go. Start price is nice and low so get bidding. Who knows when you may get another chance to own this slab of Jamaican instrumental gold. To quote Mr Dodd: "Jamaica is more than adequately represented by this album Hot Shot. The Soul Brothers possess a crystal clear sound. Obviously it would be better to cut the chatter and spin the platter. From the opening tune Law man to Instant Jerk you'll find lots to dance to again and again."Vinyl: Some superficial marks but plays really well with a great sound. Lovely lustrous shine. Labels: Really clean with some spindle marks. Cover: Overall excellent. Front cover still retains all its laminate with a couple of minor creases on the bottom. Back is slightly mottled with a bit of writing. (see scans). Very lightly crushed spine with all writing visible

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADINGS
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Plus(+) or Minus(-) may be used from time to time to try to give the buyer a closer idea of the quality of record on offer.
