Description
From 1968, this is an original US private pressing of the "Sounds Of '68" LP as presented by Central High School in Bridgeport, CT. 10 track LP features eight covers of 60's pop hits, along with a couple of "stoner" comedy spoken word bits. Nothing on here is hard psych or garage, but the pop covers are moody and understated - definitely interesting, sublime takes on what is considered traditional fare. Jacket, with incredible 60's artwork, is VG++, showing some minor handling and some paper chipping/flaking on spine. Vinyl is a shiny VG+/VG++ as well, showing some paper/surface marks. Sound quality is solid - there is some light crackle throughout, which I think has more to so with the pressing than the condition of the record - while labels are crisp with no spindle wear.
