A really fine LP of vocal harmonies, ethereal organ, and guitar fuzz. The title track is the definitive version of the song "Smell Of Incense", originally written & recorded by The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band.
Southwest F.O.B. was from Dallas. The single, Smell of Incense / Green Skies was originally released on the Dallas based GPC label. It was picked up by Stax Records who released the 45 and this LP on the HIP label in 1968. Two members went on to become the duo England Dan & John Ford Colley. England Dan is the brother of Jimmy Seals of the duo Seals & Crofts.
