Description

This is a copy of an original pressing on Lion Records, Cat# L70086 (Hi-Fi) The condition of the cover is (MINT) extremely clean! All corners are 'square' and intact, the seams are perfect, absolutely No wear! The condition of the vinyl is (Near Mint) with nice bright wax that has a few very light 'hairline' type marks, there are also 3 very small 'pimples or bubbles' that are a pressing 'defect' and except for a couple of light clicks in one spot, they do Not affect the play. There is also a small spot near the edge of record that has a 'plastic shadow' It looks like the plastic jacket that was on it, left a sort of 'shadow' that is very light, hardly noticable, and does not affect the play at all. I have cleaned it with a 'damp' cloth and it seems to be 'dissapearing' altogether. I do not like to use cleaning solvents if I can avoid it! The cover shows 'lobby cards' or posters of the stories herein; The First Men On The Moon/ The War Of The Worlds/ The Time Machine and A Journey To The Center Of The Earth. Narration is done by Bill Stern, music by Bill Simon-organ/ Herb Harris-percussion and Walter Gustafson-sound effects! The script was adapted by Roberta Strauss from Classics Illustrated Magazine. The Lp also comes with a coupon that is 'worth .50cents' toward a twelve issue subscription to Classics Illustrated. Mail it in plus $1.30 for a $1.80 regular value subscription! Ahhh! Those were the days!! If my math is correct that is a little less than 11cents an issue!! Yep! Those were the days!
