Condizioni : la copertina apribile con al suo interno un booklet di 8 pagine ancora perfettamente attaccato all'album ed il cui contenuto si può osservare nelle fotografie n° 3, 4, 5, 6 e 7, mostra poche lievi tracce di usura in particolare nel lato frontale ed alcune increspature nei due angoli di sinistra che condizionano leggermente la costolina nella due parti finali, guardate per cortesia la foto n° 10. Nessun strappo o scritta nelle pagine interne; grande stato, NEAR MINT / Manca la fascetta Obi / il vinile ha pochi segnetti che non condizionano affatto l'ascolto tranne un paio di clicchettii nell'area che separa un brano da un altro; grande stato, EX+

Condition : gatefold cover with inside an 8-page booklet still perfectly bound to album and whose contents can be observed in the pictures No 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, shows a few minor traces of slight wear in particular on the front and some creasing in the two left-hand corners which slightly affect the spine in the two final parts, please look at the picture No. 10. No tearing or writing on the inside pages, NEAR MINT / No Obi strip / vinyl has a few signs which do not affect at all listening except for a couple of clicks in the land between the grooves which separates a track with another, EX+

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : seconda edizione giapponese (1969) che differisce abbondantemente dalla prima stampa uscita un anno prima (AZ, YS - 2077 - AZ ). Il lato frontale esterno è quello più simile alla prima emissione sebbene il titolo sia differente: Brigitte Bardot Show invece di Special Brigitte Bardot che è proprio il titolo originale dello show televisivo trasmesso nel 1969 in Francia, a parte la mancanza dell'accento acuto nella parola Spécial. Inoltre la seconda edizione ha intorno alla bella foto di B.B. una cornice marrone molto più alta di quella bianca della prima stampa. Per il resto tutto è completamente diverso sia nel retrocopertina che nel libretto con più fotografie virate in color seppia oltre alle due belle pagine a colori (foto n° 5) del tutto mancanti nell'album del 1968 che ha una solo fotografia-poster a colori mentre le altre immagini hanno un viraggio blu. In conclusione, si tratta di una seconda stampa molto, molto più rara della prima. Quest'album con la fascetta Obi mi risulta essere unicamente nella collezione di Jerry Goldsmith: ...goldsmith-filmmusic.com/musum/othercomp_file/eflai3.htm

Cinque brani strumentali composti da Francis Lai e dieci canzoni interpretate da Brigitte Bardot. Tra i primi: "Saint-Tropez" (a5), eccitante rhythm & blues con vene funky ben sottolineato da una poderosa linea di basso, dalla chitarra e la batteria con vocalizzi femminili in sottofondo e "Marseillaise - Générique" (a1), il tema d'apertura dello show televisivo che dopo un brevissimo accenno all'inno di Francia sprigiona sonorità vivaci e piacevoli. Il gradevolissimo timbro vocale della Bardot è impreziosito dalle due belle canzoni di Serge Gainsbourg: "Harley Davidson" (a2) e "Contact" (b7). La prima ha maggior intensità ritmica grazie al supporto efficace di basso e sitar ma entrambe hanno un carattere di raffinata esoticità misto ad un bel suono rock. Termino con "Oh Qu’il Est Vilain" (b2) graziosa canzone Yéyé con buon accompagnamento di percussioni e flauto. 

I titoli dei quindici brani possono esser letti guardando i due lati dell'etichetta raffigurati nelle scansioni n° 8 e 9.

Notes : Japanese second issue (1969) which abundantly differs from the first pressing (1968, AZ, YS - 2077 - AZ). The outer front is the one more similar to the first issue although the title is different: Brigitte Bardot Show instead of Special Brigitte Bardot which is just the original title of the TV show broadcast on 1968 in France, apart from the absence of an acute accent in the word Spécial. In addition, the second issue has around the beautiful picture of B.B. a brown frame with a greater height than the white one of the first pressing. For the rest all is completely different both on the back cover and in the booklet with a more number of sepia-toned photographs in addition to two beautiful color pages (image No. 5) totally absent in the album of 1968 which only has a photo-poster while the other pictures have a blue-toned color. In conclusion, this is a second pressing much, much rarer than the first. Five instrumental tracks composed by Francis Lai and ten songs performed by Brigitte Bardot. Among the first: "Saint-Tropez" (a5), an exciting rhythm & blues with funky flavors well underlined by a powerful bass line, guitar and drums with female vocalizations in the background and "Marseillaise - Générique"(a1), the opening theme of the TV show which after a brief mention of the French hymn gives off a lively and likable sonorities. Bardot has a very enjoyable vocal timbre well highlighted by two beautiful songs of Serge Gainsbourg: "Harley Davidson" (a2) and "Contact" (b7). The first has greater rhythmic intensity with incisive support of bass and sitar, but both have a sophisticated exotic feature mixed to a nice rock sound. I end with "Oh Qu'il East Vilain" (b2), a pretty Yé-yé song with good accompaniment of percussion and flute.

The titles of fifteen tracks can be read looking at both sides of the label depicted in the scans No. 8 and 9.
