Description
This listing is for a brand new/sealed copy of the album Highs, Lows, And Heavenly Blows by Spectrum. This 2018 Record Store Day Release is the first time the album has been reissued on any format since it's initial release in 1994! If you are a fan of Spacemen 3, but never followed the work of Pete Kember (aka Sonic Boom) after the group split up, you owe it to yourself to check him out, and this is as good a place as any to start. This long-awaited reissue is pressed on orange vinyl in an extremely limited edition run of only 1,000 copies! The RSD site has it listed as even lower (300 copies), but according to the label, that was "misinfo," so there are a few more copies than that floating around.
The following details are taken directly from the official Record Store Day website
"First time reissue on any format of the 1994 album by Spectrum. Spectrum is the project of Sonic Boom (ex-Spacemen 3 as well as Experimental Audio Research) and collaborators. Technically his 3rd album but the 2nd under the name Spectrum. Carrying on the signature sound exemplified on “Soul Kiss (Glide Divine)”, “Highs, Lows, And Heavenly Blows” lulls the listener into a deep trance with it’s droning and hypnotic tracks and treated vocals on top of a myriad of analog synths and Sonic’s recognizable guitar treatments. The first track “Undo the Taboo” sets the stage for a meditative ride that doesn’t let up until the last track. Absolutely crucial and long awaited reissue."
