JACK TROMBEY - SPINECHILLER. De Wolfe Records DWSLP3300 UK Stereo/Mono LP 1975. ORIGINAL PRESSING. Condition: EX+/EX+(looks and sounds perfect and unplayed).
Orchestral dramatic horror, suspense and mystery themes featuring thirteen (yes 13!) cues selected by George Romero and Dario Argento for use on the Dawn Of The Dead film soundtrack which are On His Own (expressive, light tension), Omen (nervy, uncertain), Waiting For The Man (dramatic, climatic, atmospheric), Barrage (dramatic, threatening), The Mask Of Death (tense, sinister), Clammy Hands (ominous, dramatic build), Spinechiller (dramatic, active mysterioso), Red Sequence (heavy, repetitive), Drama Point 3 (mysterioso), Street Incident (active, powerful), Stealth (stealthy), Face At The Window (slow anticipation with builds, fast dramatic end) and Dark Forest (slow mysterioso).
Two DOTD cues: Face At The Window and Clammy Hands were also used on The Sweeney TV soundtrack and this whole album was also used extensively on Shaw. Bros Kung Fu film soundtracks!
