Description

Spivey 1032, “Brenda Bell and the Ninth Street Stompers”, from 1982. These are sessions from the Dan Lynch Blues Club in NYC. This is an original sealed copy and is presumed mint; the jacket shows no signs of wear or moisture damage. Brenda does vocals, and the Stompers include Martha Sanders, George Harris, Tom Kirkpatrick, Tim Sessions, Jack Stuckey, Hal Greenfield, Dan McCall, Dave Lewis, and Bill Dicey. There are two cameos, one with Champion Jack Dupree and the other with Victoria herself in a previously unreleased 1961 track (“It’s a Beautiful World but Everyone’s Losing Their Mind”). Rare to find a sealed copy of this issue. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $14.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail for $11.75 extra is strongly recommended. (Last year, a package to the Netherlands was lost in shipment, resulting in disappointment on both sides.) Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than three LPs will be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped.
