Sozialistisches Patienten Kollektiv (SPK) - Leichenschrei.

Leichenschrei is the second album by the band SPK. This version was released in 1983 on the band's own Side Effekts label in the United Kingdom. The title is a German word meaning "corpse scream", and perhaps referring to an alleged supernatural behaviour exhibited by the deceased.

In a 1987 interview for Italian fanzine Snowdonia, Edward Ka-Spel of The Legendary Pink Dots stated that he thought industrial music should have stopped after Leichenschrei, describing it as a "brilliant album" and "nobody could make a better, more definitive work in industrial music".

 

SPK also feature renowned British musician Brian Williams (aka Lustmord) on Leichenschrei, who, among many fantastic works, would go on to collaborate with Tool on 10,000 Days and The Mevlins on Pigs of the Roman Empire.

 

Fans of Throbbing Gristle and early Cabaret Voltaire, along with more contemporary acts such as Nine Inch Nails and Mike Patton are sure to love this dank, dark, warped world that SPK so deftly and disturbingly carve. An industrial masterpiece.

Near mint vinyl. The spine has a few minor creases and the sleeve has two minor creases where it opens to release the record. There is some minor discolouration at the bottom of the front and the top of the back. Overall it is has been looked after very well indeed. Please refer to the pictures for exact details.
