Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my pop and progressive records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, an extremely rare 1st U.K. pressing of Spring – Spring on the RCA NEON label, cat. no. NE 6, with the original triple fold-out cover.
The record is in EX minus condition, there are some non-sounding hairlines and on the first track of side two, there is a audible mark. I have test played this record and it will only sound for two revolutions. The rest of this record plays brilliant. The labels are in VG+ condition, there are a some spindle marks and some scuffing.
The triple fold-out cover is in VG+ condition, there is a small sticker tear in the upper right hand corner on the front, just beneath the RCA logo and the spines have some bald spots. Besides mentioned damage there is nothing wrong with the cover; no writing or other damage. Unfortunately the original black inner sleeve is missing.
Although not in a dream Mint condition, this first (and only) U.K. release of Spring’s self titled album is almost impossible to find. Also worthwhile mentioning, this album features Pick Withers, the first drummer of Dire Straits and Pat Moran on vocals, who later sat on the other side of the mixing equipment. So, if you are a big fan of Spring, an RCA NEON collector or a prog music fan, this album is real must have!
