Description

This is an overall fine original U.S. pressing copy of the debut LP by Detroit-area psych group SRC, released in 1968.  Formed by members of two local garage bands, the Fugitives and the Chosen Few, and taking their name from the initials of their lead singer Scott Richardson (they were originally know as the Scot Richard Case), the group debuted with a 1967 single on the local A-Square label before signing with Capitol.  Their debut features the ace interplay of the Quackenbush brothers' thickly distorted guitar and organ with Richardson's contrastingly delicate vocals weaving through the music, creating a unique sound.  The jacket's main flaw is a large-ish cutout hole that was somewhat sloppily done (see photo).  It also has some corner creasing and wear, light ring wear and (on the back cover) staining, and mostly light spine, seam, and edge wear -- overall VG+.  The disc is clean with some light scraping and scuffing, and plays with occasional light surface noise and a little almost inaudible light popping on side 1 (EX).

I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.

If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
