GRADING:

I take my grading  seriously and it is visual only. I do not play grade for a simple reason: every turntable set-up and stylus play differently including Rega P25 with upgrades using SuperElys Cartridge & Stylus and changing to the Signet cartridge. Heck, we have all heard a pop or tick from one of our lps on one play and not another. I care and clean every lp on my VPI 16.5.

LP: We use visual grading and employ the Goldmine system for LPs. We don’t play grade as every TT set-up is different. I have 2 and when I get the occasional noise on an lp and change to the other TT, most often the LP plays differently. The record and jacket are the same grade unless otherwise noted.

SS- STILL FACTORY SEALED as purchased new

Mint - STONE MINT looks clean;  NO marks, NO wear, PERFECT shine

NM - near mint

VG+ - signs of use. a few marks

VG  - an lp with signs of major use

G - virtually unplayable. An lp to get if you are filling a gap in your collection, looking for a track or two that might be clean because you just have to hear that song.

Regarding my Japanese LPs and Japan: almost all were bought from Japanese based sellers that I have known for years. I covered Japan for years during my career. The quality is truly top shelf. Unlike the asian bootlegs of the Japanese CDs that sell so cheaply...because they truly are.

CD: When it comes to CDs grading varies by person and visual or play. IF a CD doesnt play perfectly, I dont sell it....I buy them to listen and isnt that what really matters, playing flawlessly? However, I still grade them visually even though a cd can look bad and play perfectly THE WONDER of DIGITAL over vinyl. We visually grade the CD carefully and just the cd. If I see something glaring on the insert or obi, I will mention it. I just dont take inserts out of the case as they can get damaged and I do not get any enjoyment out of reading them...music guy.

If it looks like it did when I bought it at the store or dang close - like new. If there ares some small, very light marks a level below - very good. Lots of marks everywhere, but nothing deep - good. acceptable is when it is riddled with marks and still plays fine.

SHIPPING:

If you use paypal, shipping is according to Paypal and eBay guidelines – all shipments must be trackable and to a “confirmed” paypal address.

Shipping in the U.S. is $4(media) and $1 for tracking, packing materials, etc. for the first lp plus $ $2.00 for each additional LP. International rates is calculated as registered airpost, priority international or global priority as paypal requires tracking. I will get a lower rate tahn the ebay calculator - just contact me for it or save time and go to www.USPS.com. and use one of the aforementioned postal modes and enter 2.2lbs for 1 well packed lp. Shipments to Italy, Russia or Greece must be insured. First class is only available if buyer expressly waives tracking and paypal dispute. Again, this is because Paypal requires tracking and if you to use paypal and want the paypal protection and don't want to pay for the services requirements, then please know that I will provide you the means to save the $ by waiving it or please do not bid as neither of us wants an issue. Life is too short and we all have enough
