Description
This is the SS Decontrol (stands for Society System Decontrol), also known as SSD, second LP entitled "Get It Away" IN NEAR MINT CONDITION AND COMPLETE WITH LYRIC SHEET released in 1983 on their own XClaim! Records. It came right after this great Boston straight-edge band's now legendary debut LP "The Kids Will Have their Say" and features nice artwork from Brian "Pushead" Shroeder, famous for his work on The Exploited, Metallica, the Misfits and Cocobat t-shirts, skateboards and records. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL RECORD WITH X-3-A, X-3-B, HUB and MASTERDISK wrtitten in the dead wax, NOT A BOOTLEG (which didn't feature all this writing in the dead wax)! Bootlegs' jackets also have a grey border, which is not the case for this original one as you can see on picture! On this great record, SS Decontrol was: Springa on Vocals, Al Barile (who also played in Gage) on guitar, Francois Levesque on second guitar, Jaime Sciarappa (who also played in Slapshot and My Eye) on bass and Chris Foley (who also played in Crime and Punishment, Bulkhead, Jennifer Trynin and Star Ghost Dog) on drums. This is their last "Good" album before they ventured in a more heavy metal sound with "How We Rock" on Modern Method Records. This album was produced by Mike Bastarache and Lou Giordano, engineered by Lou Giordano and Joe Cuneo, mastered by Howie Weinberg at Masterdisk, recorded at Downtown Studios, Boston, Massachusetts. Features graphics by Bridget Burpee as well as photos by the legendary punk scene photographer Glen E. Friedman (author of the photo book "F**k You Heroes and who took famous pictures of Suicidal Tendencies (first album cover), Minor Threat (Salad Days cover), Black Flag and so many others), as well as Phil in Phlash and Liz Chapman. Track listing: 1. Glue 2. Forced Down Your Throat 3. Get It Away 4. Under The Influence 5. Nothing Done 6. Xclaim 7. No Reply (A Buzzcocks cover). Record, jacket and insert in NEAR MINT CONDITION with only some barely noticeable wrinkles on bottom left corner (SEE PICTURE!). Lots of great straight-edge SXE anthems here! A must-have for any straight-edge punk, Boston Hardcore fan / Record Collector! Winning bidder to pay shipping. Pay by money order, PayPal or well concealed cash (send at your own risks) Please take a look at my other auctions :) Please Note that I sell to ANYBODY willing to pay (no country-discrimination here!) and I won't charge an arm and a leg for shipping. You'll pay exact shipping charges. Me too, I hate those people who ask more money for «handling» or «packing» or «their time». I do the work by myself and with a smile and I recycle envelopes and boxes and use brown bags for packing and I pack well :) I treat my customers the way I like to be treated!
