ORIGINAL 1971 UK DANDELION 1st PRESSING OF GLORIOUS DEBUT LP HOUSED IN GATEFOLD SLEEVE COMPLETE WITH VERY RARE INSERT!!

ULTRA RARE 1st LP from 1971 by this truly legendary British Heavy Prog / Psych / Rock  underground band. This is the original 1st UK press, earliest matrix A1/B1, housed in matt-textured gatefold sleeve, complete with the often missing and very rarely seen insert!!! DANDELION LABEL (DAN 8003). I've only seen a handful for sale on ebay through the years, most copies seem to be German Polydor issues! This is a genuine UK rarity and it might be a very long time until another one shows up!!  The gatefold sleeve, rare insert and vinyl are all in excellent condition. A fabulous original UK 1st pressing of this John Peel produced classic proto punk agit heavy prog rock masterpiece.....musically powerful, raw as hell, totally mindblowing!!!

ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND THESE DAYS.....ESPECIALLY WITH THE VERY RARE INSERT AND EXCELLENT CONDITION VINYL.....CLEAN NEAR MINT LABELS......NEAR PERFECT CRISP INSERT TOO......NEVER SEE THIS!! THICK MATT TEXTURED 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' GATEFOLD SLEEVE......LAST CHANCE IN THIS COMPLETE STATE!!

Their awesome debut! Loud Manchester guitar-driven aggressive hard rock, of the most unrefined kind, with an acid psych edge!! Similar in parts to early Beefheart crossed with the raucous early Pretty Things!! Totally wasted raunchy heavy UK Bluesy Psych Rock with a thunderous rhythm section, grinding fuzz and wild vocals. Supposedly the lead guy had a tendency to throw bottles and assault the audience which eventually got him jailed! Back cover states" Play the f..... heaviest music you ever heard. They're no band to sit and listen to - you have to get up and leap, while you are audially raped and the plaster falls from the ceiling". "Moth Balls" "Roadrunner" "Rolling Stone" "Mystic Eyes" and more.... Awesome stuff!! The precursor to Motorhead!!

Here is a superb original UK (Made In England) very 1st pressing, complete with the rare insert, of the much sought after debut STACK WADDY album released in 1971 on the highly collectable Dandelion Record label.

The record is in excellent condition, plays LOUD!! The heavy duty matt-textured gatefold cover is also in excellent condition with only light agewear. The insert is virtually mint.

THIS LP IS INDEED EXTREMELY RARE, VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND 100% COMPLETE WITH THE MEGA RARE INSERT!!!

CONDITION

Gatefold Sleeve: EXCELLENT

The original 1st Press 'Garrod & Lofthouse' Patents Pending unlaminated thick textured gatefold cover is in EXCELLENT condition. The cover has only typical very light agewear, a few insignificant light creases on the front and back, light rubbing on the seams, a little scuff wear on spine mainly near the top (see picture no.7). The inside of the gatefold sleeve is very clean and virtually unmarked except for some neat writing (a name is neatly written above the drummer in the top right corner - see pictures) . The cover is still VERY flat looking!!!!  The opening edges are very straight with only very little feathering!! There are NO rips, NO tears and NO sticker marks on the sleeve. An excellent example of this fragile and beautiful Dandelion gatefold cover.

Insert: Mint-

The rare insert is in MINT minus condition!!!

Labels: Mint-

Side one has the original PURPLE FLOWER design....Side two has the WHITE with BLACK PRINT design. Both labels are in superb condition, very clean with no writing, tears or stickers anywhere and only a little discernible spindle wear, all of the writing is clearly readable.

Vinyl: Excellent

The ultra thick super heavyweight vinyl still retains its original DEEP, GLOSSY 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!! The audio is CRYSTAL CLEAR, STRONG and VIBRANT - A GREAT LP. There are NO jumps, NO sticks, NO scratches and only a few light marks and some feint wispy hairlines visible under a strong light.  It is great to find that the playing of the record is as good as the visual!!!!  It plays with NO sticking, NO jumps, and only SOME little light crackle near the start of each side and on the run in grooves.  The sound quality is EXCELLENT with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!! The record must grade at EXCELLENT!!

A lovely condition ORIGINAL UK DANDELION 1st pressing of this ULTRA RARE early 70's heavy prog rock album.

Packing Procedures: All 12" / LPs are securely and well packed in top quality material to avoid any unnecessary damage during transit. When posted the records are removed from the cover, if possible, and placed in a PVC outer protective sleeve to prevent sleeve splits in the post. I use brand new mailers, either the envelope style with thick stiffeners to prevent any sleeve bends in transit, or the "cruciform" style that wrap around the LP. I aim to dispatch all items within 48 hours of receiving payment. It is recommended that you choose the insurance option for higher value items. As stated above I cannot be held responsible for any item(s) lost or damaged in the post that are not shipped via insured / registered mail. I always obtain a certificate proof of posting receipt for every item sent, which will complete our transaction. Thank you for taking the time to look at my listings, I hope you will be lucky if deciding to make a bid.
