Description

Stan Kistler presents "Night Freight" (A ride in the cab of a modern steam engine) - S.K. Railroad Recordings SK-109 (1962)(Monophonic)(US) ...This auction is for an original, first edition Record pressing on U.S. vinyl. This recording is for every man or boy who ever yearned to ride in the cab of a mighty steam locomotive. Consider this recording, if you will, a story in sound.

The sequence of events on the album unfold as the car inspector tells the crew the train (4-8-4 Northern Type oil burner) is okay to leave the yard. The first potion of the journey will be over double-track through fairly flat desert country. Into mountain range passes and out, the journey is fantastic.

The Record and Cover are in great (Very Good++) condition (record looks and sounds nice/cover has some light wear with no major wear, split seams or writing). The record has been cleaned on a VPI Record Cleaning machine and will include a high-quality resealable plastic outer record sleeve. Satisfaction Guaranteed.
