Dutch-Only release from 1968, rare e.p. 33 RPM, containing fragments from movies and a dialogue from a sketch played in an English theatre in 1947. Issued by the Dutch Laurel & Hardy Fund in cooperation with the Amsterdam Film Liga and the Old Time Movie Club. With a picture of a letter to the Dutch author Gerard Stigter (K.Schippers), dated August 7th, 1961 at the back of the sleeve. Record looks very good with clean labels. Sleeve in very good condition. Rare item.
In February 1968 the Laurel & Hardy Fund was established on an initiative of the Amsterdam Film League. Goal: collect a large collection of Laurel & Hardy movies, permanently available for all Dutch film clubs. The first purchases are now complete and for this occasion the Laurel & Hardy Fund, in collaboration with the Amsterdam Film League and the Old Time Movie Club, have published this record. It contains excerpts from some movies and the complete, rare dialogue of a in 1947 in an English Theatre played sketch. The Laurel & Hardy Fund continues to work quietly on, there is still much to be done. And these lines of Stan Laurel are the answer to a letter, which was actually written on behalf of all Dutch admirers.

De eerste aankopen zijn nu gedaan en ter gelegenheid daarvan heeft het Laurel & Hardy Fonds in samenwerking met de Amsterdamse Filmliga en de Old Time Movie Club dit plaatje uitgegeven. Het bevat fragmenten uit een aantal films en de complete, zeldzame dialoog van een in 1947 in een Engels theater gespeelde sketch. Het Laurel & Hardy Fonds werkt rustig verder, er is nog veel te doen. En deze regels van Stan Laurel vormen het antwoord op een brief, die eigenlijk namens alle Nederlandse bewonderaars is geschreven."
