Description

STANLEY TURRENTINE – HUSTLIN’ – BLUE NOTE 4162 – NEW YORK USA – M- - MONO

Recorded in Rudy Van Gelder’s studio on January 24, 1964, this Blue Note session features Stanley Turrentine on tenor, Shirley Scott on organ, Kenny Burrell on guitar, Bob Cranshaw on bass and Otis “Candy” Finch on drums. SIDE 1: TROUBLE NO. 2; LOVE LETTERS and THE HUSTLER. SIDE 2: LADYFINGERS; SOMETHING HAPPEN TO ME and GOIN’ HOME. “VAN GELDER” is stamped in the blank vinyl on both sides of the LP. The “EAR” is also stamped on both sides of the blank vinyl. The label reads: NEW YORK USA” and the record jacket reads: “48 West 61st. St., New York 23”. The Blue Note sleeve reads: 43 WEST 61ST ST. NEW YORK 23, N.Y. On the lower right corner is “”@379” in ink. That’s the price and the only place I know of who did this was Sam Goody in New York City, as that’s where I bought it, many years ago. This is a MONO recording.

I have rated this LP as M- for the following reasons. The vinyl on both sides is clean on any marks. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole. The record jacket is in excellent condition with very little sign of wear. The LP sleeve is in excellent condition. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks.

PAYMENT & SHIPPING

Satisfaction guaranteed on item. I regret that the USPS has raised their prices. The LP will be well packed. Fully packed in a crush proof box, it weighs 1.8 pounds. Due to increased cost, I have to charge an additional $1.00 for packing in the crush proof box. Believe me, it’s worth it! The method of payment is PayPal. As of October 20, 2008, eBay has decided to make PayPal the only method of payment for this item! This way, eBay has you coming and going! If you are a bidder who prefers to pay by other means, I suggest that you file a complaint! I regret the inconvenience. The LP will be shipped either by Media Rate @ $2.98 or by Priority Mail @ $5.80 and up depending where you reside. Overseas bidders should consider First Class Mail International. The cost to Europe and Asia begins at $20.45 in the crush proof box. It’s worth it! USPS has hammered overseas shipping!
