Description
For auction is STANLEY TURRENTINE's "Never Let Me Go" on Blue Note BLP 4129 MONO, 1963. The vinyl is VG+ or better, it has been machine-cleaned and played. I note this record displays the VAN GELDER stamp and the "Ear" stamp on dead wax. **I note that SIDE 1 of the disc has a dull, sort of "cloudy" finish, not glossy, roughly across one-half of the side. It was not altered at all by the cleaning process. I have no explanation, but I played the record and it sounds perfectly fine. Just want to mention it** The sleeve is VG+ or better. Has radio station catalogue sticker upper left corner. The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics. No reserve, starts at $10.
I was left over 5000 old jazz albums from a friend who passed away. They are not catalogued nor are they even organized. I'll be going through them a little bit at a time and putting them up for auction. I have one of those cleaning machines and I listen to at least part of every cleaned record. Everything I've listened to "sounds great", and I do mean "great". No pops, hisses, skips, etc. Great sound. Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale. As for grading, I've reviewed generally accepted guidelines, and I think my grades on the sleeves and the vinyl are conservative. Most everything I've looked at so far is "VG+" or better. If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I don't know much about records but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
