Vinyl condition - VG_, Gatefold record sleeve, insert & poster - VG+

I list all vinyl as “VG” to “VG+ or better. ‘MINT’ implies the record is SEALED. I grade relatively conservative to minimize any issues. I will disclose any noticeable issues or defects. All records are visually graded, some I will play test if I feel there are possible issues. I try to consider what my reaction would be as a buyer, upon winning this auction and pulling the record out its sleeve the first time.
Please note that grades are visual. It seems to me that play-grading is even more subjective and entails other variables, such as the sensitivity of one's equipment, (A superficial surface mark is not a scratch that would affect playback.) As anyone who has handled a lot of used records knows, some play better than they look and VICE VERSA.
VERY GOOD PLUS ---- The record has been handled and played infrequently or very carefully. Not too far from perfect. On a disc, there may be light paper scuffs from sliding in and out of a sleeve on the vinyl or some of the original luster may be lost. A slight scratch or surface mark that did not affect play would be acceptably VG+ for most collectors.
VERY GOOD ---- Record displays visible signs of handling and playing, such as loss of vinyl luster, light surface scratches, groove wear and spindle trails. Some audible surface noise, but should not overwhelm the musical experience. Usually a cover is VG when one or two of these problems are evident: ring wear, seam splits, bent corners, loss of gloss, stains, etc.
GOOD ---- Well played with little luster and significant surface noise. Despite defects, record should still play all the way through without skipping. Several cover flaws will be apparent, but should not obliterate the artwork.
