The Seller is the Original Owner and has had this LP since the time of its 1977 release, 45 years ago!
The album is still sealed in its original shrink wrap. The vinyl discs have never been taken from their sleeves and have never been played. They are assumed to be in Mint condition.
This album package contains the original full color poster. It is assumed to be in Mint condition. For interested buyers information only, an image of what the poster should look like is included in this listing. However, the poster in the photo is not the one for sale within this album's packaging. No warranties are made by the Seller.
The gatefold cover is in excellent condition. It has very minor corner wear and a light crease in the upper right corner, and some light scuffing on the shrink wrap, so it is given a VG+ rating. See photos.

(Wikipedia Excerpts) The music of the original Star Wars movie (the first of a series of nine feature films) was written by John Williams and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra.This album has the distinction of being the only "Star Wars" original soundtrack to be distributed by the film distributor's own record label - 20th Century Records.
The original 1977 U.S. pressings are on 20th Century Records (for sale here), which was rebranded in 1978 as 20th Century Fox Records. Repressings from later in the 1980s are on the RSO label.

The Seller was in the retail record business in the 1970's-1980's and acquired a collection of 2500+ albums from that era, which is now being sold on Ebay. Most are promotional and collectible LPs which have never (or seldom) been played. Many are white label promos, first pressings, and often factory sealed. The collection has been securely boxed and stored in a smoke free environment since 1983, 39 years! Please check back occasionally to see my new listings. I add approx. 25–50 new LPs per week.
Grading methodology is as follows:
M (MINT) - Album is brand new, sealed, and has never been played.
NM (NEAR MINT) - Vinyl looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. LP cover may have some light rub marks.
VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS) - Vinyl may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned corners, or a slight seam split. May have slight signs of wear also may be marred by a cut out hole, sawcut, or cut corner indicating it is a promotional copy.
VG (VERY GOOD) - Vinyl has light wear, scratches, or scuffs. Covers may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached, etc.
