Description
This is the "STARSAILOR" original 1970 LP by TIM BUCKLEY.
It is the original version issued in 1970 on the collectable STRAIGHT label, number STS 1064.
This LP was the 6th studio album by Tim Buckley, and featured in the TOP 100 Rock and Roll Albums of all time, compiled in 1987.
The album marks a departure from his folkier roots into jazz and an avant-garde style.
It is an early UK 1st press which was purchased on release in 1970, and has the following matrix numbers:
- Side 1: STS 1064 A1
- Side 2: STS 1064 B1

Record is EX+, apart from 2 thin surface marks, on side 1 and 1 on side 2 (which are not audible), the vinyl is unmarked, and just 2 slight spindle marks, visible under spotlight on the label on both sides.
It plays really well, with just some occasional feint background noise in some of the quieter moments.
The cover is EX+, it was not laminated, but has kept well, excellent spine, and crisp record opening, just handling wear on the top and bottom edges, and has only very slight partial ringwear ringwear on the back cover, and to a lesser extent some very feint partial ringwear on the front cover
The cover and record look a lot newer than a 40 year old record.
The record will be packed in a stiff package specifically designed for sending vinyl throught the post, with added protection on the corners.
